ROLLING ON THE RIVER... again!

You are invited to join us on the Douro River for seven sensational days and nights—from Porto to Pinhão, Salamanca to Régua. The Douro runs through one of Europe's most beautiful stretches of countryside, flanked by vineyards under the warming Portuguese sun. Traditional wineries and charming villages break up the terraced fields of green.

We have finalized our exciting three-night pre-cruise excursion in Lisbon option and added an optional bonus post-cruise night in Porto! All the details can be found by clicking on the Travel Planner link below.

Reserve your spot as soon as possible, this riverboat has only 56 staterooms (27 fewer than our Rhine River vessel) and nearly 70% of our staterooms are sold. Also, now is a perfect time to review the optional pre-cruise and post-cruise itineraries and let us know if you’ll be joining us for one or both of these adventures. All the information you need is provided in the Travel Planner link.

We are looking forward to rolling on the river with you this year!

JUST ANNOUNCED—OUR TALENTED LINEUP:
Jill Sobule
Connie Rouse
Julie Wolf

JILL SOLBULE

During her three decade career, Jill Sobule has released a dozen albums, tackling topics as varied as the death penalty, anorexia, LGBTQ issues, adolescent malaise, and the Christian Right, with her wit and aplomb.

The Denver-born singer/songwriter's work is deeply personal, socially conscious, and seriously funny. Sobule's portrait-and-story songs reflect her subtle intelligence and skillful light-handedness.

Jill Sobule’s career began in 1990 with the album Things Here Are Different (MCA), featuring the single “Too Cool To Fall In Love.” Her 1995 self-titled album (Atlantic) brought commercial and critical success with two hit singles: “Supermodel” from the movie Clueless and “I Kissed A Girl” (the original), the first openly queer-themed record to break the Billboard Top 20.

With her most recent album, Nostalgia Kills, Jill turns her warm wit and laser-focused poet’s eye on herself, exploring awkward youth and grown-up regrets.

Sobule has performed with many musical artists including Neil Young and Cyndi Lauper just to name a few. She regularly co-stars with SNL alum Julia Sweeney in their Jill & Julia Show.

Jill’s latest project is an autobiographical show titled F*ck 7th Grade! which premiered Off-Off Broadway in 2022 to rave reviews and was featured as a New York Times Critics' Pick.

CONNIE ROUSE

As a child growing up in Chicago, Illinois, Connie Rouse pretended to be a famous singer. One of her fondest memories is of her parents asking her to sing for relatives and friends.

The songstress attributes her love of song to her grandmother whom she says had the voice of an angel and a melody in her heart.

Connie's vocals are bathed in smoky, sultry undertones and brimming with fire and intensity. She has performed her vocal stylings at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Carpenter Performing Arts Center, the Orange County Performing Arts Center, the Disneyland Hotel, and Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen.

When she's not singing, Connie most enjoys sharing time with her family, being bossed around by her adorable dogs, relishing nature and the outdoors.

JULIE WOLF

Julie Wolf is an Oakland-based music producer, composer, and music director. Her touring and recording collaborations include: Carly Simon, Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco, Jill Sobule, and many others.

Music Direction: The Wild Project (Jill Sobule & Liza Birkenmeier's F*ck 7th Grade, 2022 world premiere), A.C.T.’s Young Conservatory, Berkeley Rep, Actors Theatre of Louisville, California Shakespeare Theater, City Theatre, and the La Jolla Playhouse. She received an L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Musical Direction for Girlfriend (CTG/Kirk Douglas Theatre).

Music production credits include Deidre McCalla's Endless Grace; Allison Miller/Boom Tic Boom’s Glitter Wolf; Just Like A Woman duet with Carly Simon for Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan. She also composes and designs sound for dance and film.

Julie is thrilled to make her Women On A Roll maiden voyage accompanying her frequent musical collaborator and dear friend, Jill Sobule and singer Connie Rouse.
