The Itinerary: 8-day Danube River Cruise

Cruise along the peaceful Danube River through Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary—stopping at some of Central Europe’s most splendid capitals and charming towns along the way.

Germany
Visit Passau, Germany—called the “City of Three Rivers” at the confluence of the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers. Take a guided walking tour to admire the Patrician houses and baroque St. Stephen’s Cathedral.

Austria
Stops in Austria include the magnificent Benedictine Abbey and Dürnstein to see the famous blue and white Stiftskirche and taste some of the local wines. Vienna, the “City of Music,” makes an immediate impression with its lavish Hofburg Imperial Palace and neo-renaissance Vienna Opera House.

Slovakia
In Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, take a guided walk through the delightful Old Town and to the Gothic St. Martin’s Cathedral.

Hungary
In Budapest, the vibrant capital of Hungary, a local expert will show you all the must-see sights. Then to round out this timeless European river cruise, take a stroll along Váci utca—the main shopping street, or take pictures from Fishermen’s Bastion for the best panoramic views of Budapest.

Optional Pre- and Post-Cruise Extensions

Cruise along the peaceful Danube River through Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary—stopping at some of Central Europe’s most splendid capitals and charming towns along the way.

Prague, Czech Republicy

Pre-Cruise Extension:
Three nights in Prague
When you visit Prague, it is worth remembering that not only does the city boast an impressive history, which stretches back many hundreds of years, but it has also fostered prominent architects, artists, and designers of the 20th century.

Budapest, Hungary

Post-Cruise Extension:
Two nights in Budapest
Budapest offers plenty of entertainment all year round: from green parks and soothing thermal baths to architectural gems and museums, to be explored in city quarters—all different in character.

Laugh, Sing, Love
with our onboard performers!

Comedian Vickie Shaw is one of our favorite entertainers. Her "take no prisoners" comedy is hilarious and reflects her Southern roots.
Vickie has made people all over the globe laugh until they cry!
You've seen her on Comedy Central, Logo TV, and in the documentary LAUGHING MATTERS MORE. She has released two solo DVDs: YOU CAN TAKE THE GIRL OUT OF TEXAS and I'M NOT YOUR ROLE MODEL and hosts benefits, fundraisers and numerous Pride events all over the country.

Growing up in Chicago, Connie Rouse pretended to be a famous singer. Her parents nurtured her dream by asking her to sing for relatives and friends.
Connie's vocals are bathed in smoky, sultry undertones and brimming with fire and intensity. She attributes her love of song to her grandmother who had a melody in her heart and the voice of an angel. When she's not singing, Connie enjoys sharing time with her family, being bossed around by her adorable dogs, and relishing nature.

Julie Wolf is an Oakland-based music producer, composer, and director. She has collaborated with Carly Simon, the Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco, and Jill Sobule.
An L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award winner for Best Musical Direction for Girlfriend (CTG/Kirk
Douglas Theatre), her music production credits include Deidre McCalla's Endless Grace; Allison Miller/Boom Tic Boom’s Glitter Wolf; and Just Like A Woman duet with Carly Simon for Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan. Julie also composes and designs sound for dance and film.

At age 20, Franco Stevens was homeless after her family cast her out for being a lesbian. But nothing could stop this dynamo. Just two years later, Franco launched what became the best-selling lesbian magazine in the world, Curve (first published as Deneuve). Flash forward thirty years and Stevens’ story is being told in the documentary film: Ahead of the Curve (currently available on Netflix). Franco is currently focused on The Curve Foundation, a nonprofit she founded in 2021 championing lesbians, queer women, transgender and nonbinary people. A spokesperson for how far society has come since the launch of Curve and the growing backlash we are facing today, Franco Stevens is an inspiring, engaging, and hope-filled changemaker.

Franco will be hosting and appearing at several special events while cruising!
