Batman, Bat Caves — Holy Smoke, you won’t want to miss this hike!
Sunday, March 26
10am
Join us for this moderate hike, seven miles round trip and approximately 3.5 hours. There is an 800-foot elevation gain. Dogs on leash are welcome but keep in mind the distance and temperature.
We will start with a 1/4 mile easy hike to the Bronson Caves where the Batmobile departed the Batcave in the 1960’s Batman TV series. (They are actually man-made tunnels leftover from a quarry operation in the late 1900’s.)
Then we continue up the trail to a peak below the sign where we will have spectacular views of Los Angeles and the Valley, from the Pacific Ocean to the San Gabriel Mountains and beyond.
Park in the first parking lot. We will meet at the south end of the lot. Bring a hat, plenty of water, snacks and sunscreen, since there is little shade. Wear hiking boots. Rain within 24 hours cancels.

Can’t wait for this hike. It is right near my house. Plus I am very familiar with it.
