“Wisdom Tree” Hike

WOAR Board member Terri West will lead this rugged
3-mile hike above Lake Hollywood Reservoir toward Cahuenga Peak.

Rain Cancels within 24 hours of hike.

The trail is easy to follow but there are several rugged areas with pretty steep drop-offs that may deter less adventurous hikers. The dirt is your usual, loose San Gabriel slick, so take your time on the descent to prevent slips. The trail between Cahuenga Peak and Mount Lee is surprisingly rugged – it’s all very do-able, just be prepared for it!
Dogs on leash ore fine.
Rain Cancels within 24 hours of hike.

Location: Cahuenga Peak / Lake Hollywood Reservoir

Although the hike was really steep, the view at the top was really worth it. You can see the Hollywood water resevoir, Universal Studios, and all of the city of LA. We were lucky enough to get some breeze and beat the afternoon heat wave, so sitting under the wisdom tree was really nice and relaxing.
